Project Description:

The project is intended to implement an ERP System across all Plants (including Corporate Office), CWH, CFAs and Depots of the Company using the SAP ECC 6.0 (EHP 7) System. The System is composed of following modules of SAP ECC 6:

»» Controlling (CO)
»» Materials Management (MM)
»» Quality Management (QM)
»» Production Planning (PP)
»» Sales and Distribution (SD)
»» Plant Maintenance (PM)
»» Project Systems (PS)

The project was launched in August 2015. Implementation was completed and went live by August 2016. FDC had engaged M/s Yash Technologies Pvt. Ltd. as Implementation Partner for the project.

Responsibilities:

»   Core Team Member, MM Module: Interactions with the Business Process Owners (BPOs), in co-ordination with Functional Departments (Purchase, Stores) team members to identify and manage customization and development tasks required in the module.
»   Core Team Member, QM Module: Interactions with the BPOs, in co-ordination with Functional Departments (Quality Control / Quality Assurance) team members to identify and manage customization and development tasks required in the module.
»   Functional Team Member, PP Module: Along with other team members, continuously involved in interactions with Functional Department personnel and BPOs for customization and development tasks required in the module.
»   Development Team Leader - ABAP: Leading the in - house development team that carries out development and customization activities dunring post-implementation phase of the project.

2. e-FIRMS - Forms & Formats Management System(Current)

Project Description:

The project involves design and development of various modules for management and maintenance of various GMP-relevant forms and formats that need to be issued and managed by Quality Assurance Department of the Company. The System is designed to meet various GMP - mandated regulatory requirements such as electronic signatures, generation of date-and-time-stamped documents, detailed audit trail etc.

Responsibilities:

»   Being the sole developer, fully involved in design, development, implementation and co-ordination of various modules at various Plants of the Company.
»   Providing training on system functions and operations to end - users.

3. Various Components of a Customized ERP Solution(August 2005 - July 2016)

Project Description:

The project includes design, development and inter - linking of various modules of Supply Chain Management System (SCM), Purchase Management System, Export - Inventory Co-ordination System, Miscellaneous Inventory Management System (MIMS), Documentation Support / Management Information System for Quality Assurance etc., which form components of a customized ERP System.

»» Purchase Management System: Works in co-ordination with the Supply Chain Management System and Miscellaneous Inventory Management System, helping to ensure timely procurement of materials necessary for production and related activities of various Plants.

»» Miscellaneous Inventory Management System (MIMS): Designed to manage the inventory and requirement of miscellaneous items in various plants of the Company. The System contains provisions to raise indents for materials and interacts with the Purchase Management System to generate Purchase Orders against the indents raised. After the materials are received, inventory of materials is maintained by the System.

»» Documentation Support / Quality Assurance Management Information System: The System provides support to Quality Assurance Department in keeping track of versions, review status etc. of various Quality Assurance / Management - related documents such as Quality Assurance Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures, Master Formula Records, Batch Manufacturing / Packing Records, Corrective & Preventove Action records etc., with periodic alerts / reminders.

Responsibilities:

»   Leading the Developers’ Team, actively involved in design, development, implementation and co-ordination of various modules at various Plants of the Company.
»   Periodic review of the functioning of System Modules on sites and taking corrective and preventive actions whenever required.
»   Providing training on system functions and operations to end - users.

1. SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT SYSTEMAugust 2002 – July 2005

Role:Programmer in Charge (No team)

Project Description:

Supply Chain Management System (SCM) helps to manage the entire movement of materials in the Plant, including Inventory Management, Quality Control System and Production Plan & Execution. The entire life cycle of the materials, starting with receipt at Stores upto dispatch to market can be monitored and coordinated with the help of the system. The System includes modules for various functions of Raw / Pkg. Material Stores, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Production and Finished Goods Store departments. The functions include Receipt of materials (by Stores), Sampling, Analysis and Release (by QC), Issue of materials for Production and related activities (by Stores), return of materials to Stores (by Production), transfer of finished product batches to Finished Goods Store (by Production), Sampling & Analysis of Products (in - process and final) (by QC) and final release of batch for despatch (by QA).

The system was originally designed and developed by IBIS Softec Solutions, Mumbai, and later taken over by M/s FDC Limited.

Responsibilities:

»   Being the Programmer in Charge of the system, having no assistance, bearing full responsibility for development and implementation as well as maintenance of various
     modules of the System in the Plant.
»   Reporting to the Corporate System Coordinator and providing weekly updates about the functional status of the System.

2. SIP VALIDATION 5.0November 2003 to May 2004
Software used:Operating System: Windows NT, Windows 98
VB6, MS SQL Server (MS SQL 7 / 2000), Crystal Reports
Role:Project Designer & Developer (No team support)

Project Description:

The project is developed to assist in the validation process of the Sterilization In Process (SIP) Cycle for Automatic Liquid Packaging Blow – Fill – Seal (ALP – BFS) machine for packing of ophthalmic preparations in the Plant. The system works in coordination with the software that handles the operation of the machine. The Validation System accepts the output from the machine’s software and performs a series of checks essential to determine validity of the process. This solution helps FDC Limited to save a lion’s share of time involved in performing the task manually, which was the previous practice. Thus, FDC is able to carry out the production activities many times more efficiently and promptly than before. No project team involved. Complete design and development done by self.

Other Responsibilities:
»   Being the Programmer in Charge of the system, having no assistance, bearing full responsibility for development and implementation as well as maintenance of various
     modules of the Systems in the Plant.
»   Reporting to the Corporate System Coordinator and providing weekly updates about the functional status of the Supply Chain Management System.
»   In addition to the Project - related responsibilities, I was also in charge of the maintenance and customization of other software systems in the Plant.

§  Major Achievements:
¤  Development of ‘SIP Validation 5.0’ package, which was fully designed, developed and deployed by myself.
¤  Development of ‘Virus Detection & Removal Tool’ for ‘W32.Pesin.A’, designed and developed by myself and deployed successfully on all computers in the Plant.

Academic Project
B.Tech: Real Time Video Server

A Linux / Unix Based Client - Server System capable of transmission and reception of Video clips over the network in real time. At client side, display of the clip starts immediately after the beginning of its reception, instead of waiting for complete transfer of the entire file. The system was developed using C For Unix / Linux and used the X - Window System.
